Soma was born in Michigan where she studied abnormal Psycology and Philosophy. At a very young age she traveled through Nepal and South East Asia and fell in love with Bali. Here she helped to start the Bali island school in 1985/86 so her children could go to an international school. In 1992 her interested for India flourished where she found her future teacher Papaji. With his guidance she started to do Malas as a movement. Aum Rudraksha's has enabled her to help people in need in many countries, giving 30% of their profit to charity. Between 2006 until 2016 she begins to bring High priests from Bali on sacred pilgrimges to India.
